This site runs no analytics, no trackers, and no ad tech. There are no cookies to consent to.

What we do collect

Contact form. If you write to us, we store your name, email address, and message so we can reply. That's the only reason we keep them; we don't add you to a mailing list, and we never share or sell them.

Server logs. Our content delivery network (Amazon CloudFront) writes ordinary access logs: requested URL, timestamp, IP address, user agent. We read them in aggregate to see which pages get visited, and they expire automatically after 180 days.

The app

The short version: your games and your progress live on your device, there are no accounts, and nothing leaves your phone without being spelled out first. The longer version follows.

On your device. Your games, move history, coach conversations, student profile (estimated rating, opponent level, concepts you've worked on), and settings are stored locally on your phone. The free on-device coach analyzes your games entirely on the device and never sends them anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of this.

The anonymous device ID. To run the Pro Coach trial and subscription without accounts, the app mints a random identifier that means nothing outside Sealed Move. It is not your Apple ID, not your advertising ID, and not derived from anything about you. Our servers keep a record for that identifier: service tier, trial dates, and, if you subscribe, the App Store transaction reference needed to honor the subscription. That's the whole record.

Pro Coach. The Pro Coach runs in the cloud. Only when you've agreed to the in-app disclosure are your moves, board positions, and questions to the coach sent to our servers (Amazon Web Services, United States) and passed to a third-party AI model provider to generate the coaching replies. Requests carry the anonymous device ID and the game context, nothing more. Which model provider backs the coach can change as we improve the service; this page is updated when it does. We do not use your games to train models, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone, full stop. Short-lived operational logs (for abuse prevention and debugging) are the only server-side trace of your requests.

Payments. The Pro Coach subscription is purchased through Apple. Apple handles your payment details entirely; we never see them. We receive the signed transaction and subscription status, tied to the anonymous device ID, not to your name, email, or Apple identity.

Deletion. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. To remove the server-side device record too, write to us via the contact form and we'll delete it.

No accounts, no ads, no tracking. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party trackers, and it requests no permissions beyond network access.
